Magdalen College School Richard Record Sixth Form Centre
Completion: 2017
Location: Oxford
This is the first built project of Magdalen College School’s Masterplan, which Tim Ronalds Architects completed in 2014.The new building provides a social and study centre for 340 Sixth Formers, together with classrooms, offices and a range of flexible multipurpose and meeting spaces. Its handsome elevations of Oxford stone and brick form an entrance quad giving the school new presence and distinction. Inside oak floors and wall linings provide warmth and durability.
““The construction of the stylish and contemporary new building commenced in summer 2016 and the school community has quickly taken it to its heart. The new Centre will add significantly to the Sixth Form experience for MCS pupils at a hugely formative time in their lives.”
